"Jay Rogers Redux" may please the ears of those who enjoy listening to interesting, little known tunage and crazy song stylings. With the help of John McMahon on the piano, Jay will sing and tell stories about his involvement with a wide panoply of characters and character actors whom he has enjoyed a whole lot! Songs for happy ears include hits (and some misses) from some of the many programs in which he has appeared; "When Pigs Fly"! "Whoop-Dee-Do!" "Lypsinka IS Harriet Craig"! "Keith Thompson's Kooky Tunes"! Monday In The Dark With George"! La Gran Scena Opera Co. di New York"! Cleavage"!

Jay Rogers' adventurous career has taken him from Broadway to the intimate night clubs of New York to The Kennedy Center to the International Opera Stage. Perhaps best known for his Drama Desk Award-nominated work in Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly (winner of Drama Desk, Outer Critic’s Circle and OBIE Awards), Jay was also an original cast member of Howard Crabtree's earlier revue, Whoop-De-Doo!, and he can be heard on both original cast recordings. Favorite NY roles include Uncle Fate in Idaho! (the "Best Of Fest" winner at The New York Musical Theatre Festival), Mignon Mullen in My Deah!, Mr. Charles (U/S) in The Lincoln Center production of Paul Rudnick's The New Century, Roscoe in the original company of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queensand Trey in The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told. Jay originally arrived in NYC to appear on Broadway in the ill-fated show, Cleavage — monumental for marking the first time Jay ever wore a dress... in public. Jay quickly found solace by joining forces with Theatre TWEED, including roles in The Bad Seed(ling) (with Varla Jean Merman and Jackie Hoffman), Lypsinka Is Harriet Craig, The Women (aka Project Jungle Red... with every Drag Queen in the world), Caged (with Lily Tomlin, Isabella Rossellini and Joan RIvers) and Screen Door (with Sheila MacRae, Charles Busch and Wallace Shawn). Internationally, Jay toured the opera houses of Europe as Sylvia Bills (America's most beloved retired Diva) with La Gran Scena Opera Co. di NY. In addition, Jay has had great success with his ventures in the chic boites and cabaret rooms around NYC... winning multiple Manhattan Association of Clubs and Cabaret Awards and Backstage Bistro Awards for his hit one-man shows, Yes! This Is My Real Voice, Broccolihead, Sucker and Eat, Drink and Be Mary!
