David Cale & Matthew Dean Marsh - SANDRA Presented by TWEED.

This show is part of "Sundays @ Seven" a series presented by TWEED Theater Works, Kevin Malony artistic director.

In a Pangea departure for Cale and Marsh, David Cale will read and perform his new solo thriller SANDRA for the first time, accompanied by a piano score composed and played by Matthew Dean Marsh. SANDRA is the story of a womans search to get to the bottom of the mysterious disappearance of her closest friend, a young pianist and composer, and the dangerous territory it took her into. This solo work will ultimately be performed by an actress and this night will mark the only time its read and performed by Cale and played live by Marsh. Also on the bill are new songs written by Cale and Marsh. Plus Special Guests TBA

David Cale and Matthew Dean Marshs first collaboration, the solo musical WERE ONLY ALIVE FOR A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME, premiered at the Goodman Theatre, Chicago and Cale and Marsh won the 2019 Jeff Award for Best New Musical. The show opened in NYC at The Public Theatre and was recently listed in The New York Times Best Theater of 2019. Cales other recent works include the solo play HARRY CLARKE, starring Billy Crudup, at the Vineyard Theatre and subsequently presented by Audible at Minetta Lane Theater. For HARRY CLARKE Cale received the 2018 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show.
